What the Speaker of Parliament Natalia Kiselova did does not comply with the law, said the leader of the MECH party Radostin Vassilev on the program "Nedelya 150" on the Bulgarian National Radio. The decision may be corrected next Wednesday, Vassilev admitted, according to whom Kiselova was unprepared or under pressure. His comment is on the occasion of the collapse of the MECH parliamentary group.
Vassilev said that he has a recording of a conversation with Kiselova, in which she tells him that she is under pressure after the MECH group was left with nine deputies. This happened one hour after a meeting of the presidential council in the National Assembly last Wednesday, when it was decided that the new MECH deputies would be sworn in on Friday, Vassilev said.
A group falls apart when someone leaves or is expelled, the MECH leader pointed out. Vassilev said that a correction to the parliament's rules of procedure could also be considered to resolve this case.
He said that a vote of no confidence against the government is also being considered because of its overall policy.
On Wednesday morning, at 7:00, we are announcing a national "protest against the mutts", and if at 8:30 If the MECH case is not resolved at the presidential council, there will be "something scarier than a Serbian scenario" in the parliament, said Vassilev.
After the end of the 22-hour session of the deputies on Friday morning, the speaker of the parliament announced that the MECH group was disbanding. According to the Rules of Procedure for the Organization and Activities of the Parliament, the minimum number of MPs to form a parliamentary group is ten. There are currently nine MECH deputies in the parliament, after the National Assembly on Wednesday terminated the powers of MECH deputy Samuil Slavov due to his resignation. On Thursday, the Central Election Commission announced Plamen Angelov Petkov, nominated by the MECH party, as a member of the parliament in the 51st National Assembly. He will take the place of Samuil Slavov, but has not yet been sworn in as a deputy.
