The deputies re-elected Radoslav Milenkov as Deputy Governor, Head of the "Banking Supervision" Department of the Bulgarian National Bank (BNB). Milenkov's mandate will be for a period of 6 years. The deputies voted with 121 votes "For", 72 votes "Against" and 11 votes "Abstained". In the re-vote, Milenkov's election as Deputy Governor of the BNB was again confirmed with 122 votes "For", 73 votes "Against" and 10 votes "abstained", news.bg listed.

Both in the election of the new leadership and members of the KEVR, and in the election of the deputy governor of the BNB, the votes were cast by the new majority in the plenary hall - GERB, BSP-United Left, "There is such a people" and MRF-New Beginning.

In the context of the debates, "Vazrazhdane" again took the floor, announcing that they would not support Radoslav Milenkov for deputy governor of "Bank Supervision" at the BNB.

After that, the former Prime Minister, and now a member of the PP-DB Kiril Petkov, also announced that his party would not support Milenkov for deputy governor of the BNB. He criticized Milenkov with the words: "Ladybug after ladybug, saboteur after saboteur, who has a direct connection with the Magnitsky-sanctioned Vladislav Goranov and Delyan Peevski". PP-DB hoped that the ruling party would propose a different candidate than Milenkov for deputy governor of the BNB.

The debate subsequently turned into "For" or "Against" the eurozone, with all parties expressing their well-known theses.

We recall that on March 22, 2019, he was elected by the 44th National Assembly as deputy governor of the Bulgarian National Bank (BNB) and head of the "Banking Supervision" department with a six-year mandate.
