A tragic accident took place today on "Philip Kutev" boulevard in the capital, reports Bulgaria ON AIR. A driver died after he felt sick while driving, but managed to stop his car on the grassy area of the sidewalk.
Witnesses to the incident immediately came to the rescue, breaking the car window in an attempt to save the driver. Unfortunately, despite the quick response, the man died on the spot.
The police, fire and ambulance teams immediately arrived at the scene of the incident, which occurred near the Sofia Zoo.
"The view is not pleasant", drivers who passed through the traffic jam in the area shared on social networks.
