Assen Vassilev: Kiselova no longer has our support - 1

Natalia Kiselova no longer has our support. This was stated to journalists on the sidelines of the parliament by Assen Vassilev from the parliamentary group of “Continuing Change - Democratic Bulgaria“ in response to a question whether the coalition would join calls for the resignation of the Speaker of the National Assembly, BTA reports.

Ms. Kiselova was supported by us because she signed the sanitary cordon, Vassilev recalled. With her actions regarding the election of a constitutional judge last week, she violated the sanitary cordon and we have withdrawn our support from her, he added.

We are glad that the parliament has just made a decision by which the parliamentary group of "Moral, Unity, Honor" (MECH) was restored, Vassilev also said. According to him, with her action to terminate the group's existence a few days ago, Kiselova has not helped the authority of the parliament. And if the MECH group had not gone back to restore itself, we would certainly have joined the calls for resignation, the PP-DB MP also stated.

Asen Vassilev once again recalled the formation's position on a possible vote of no confidence in the cabinet, as requested by “Vazrazhdane“. We stated that after the release of the report on the eurozone, if all the laws on the second payment of the Recovery and Resilience Plan (RRP) are not adopted, we will initiate a vote of no confidence on the grounds that Bulgaria will lose 10 billion leva due to the inaction of this government, the MP said. On Sunday, we announced that the government must now adopt all the laws on the RRP so that Bulgaria does not lose 10 billion leva, he also said. We are glad to see that the first of these laws is entering the committee this week, namely the law on personal bankruptcy, added Vassilev.

In order for Bulgaria to have a clear position, we need to know the facts, said the PP-DB MP on the topic of the Bulgarian who died in Gaza. There is a UN statement that the Bulgarian citizen was killed by the Israeli army, there is a statement by Israel that they were not at all on the territory where this happened, Vassilev pointed out. Until we know the facts, we cannot take a reasonable position, he believes. The job of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the services is to clarify the facts, to present them to parliament, so that each political party can take a position, commented Vassilev.
