Andrey Tsekov: From PP-DB we have not yet decided on the vote of no confidence

This is Mr. Peevski's government. The governing majority is enough both to accept a corrupt budget and to save the government from every vote of no confidence

Our position is that Bulgaria deserves a European future, which is currently predetermined by the announcement of the date for the adoption of the euro. We believe that at the moment political instability will put our country's entry into the eurozone at risk. This was said in the program "Face to Face" on bTV by the MP from "We continue the change - Democratic Bulgaria" and former Minister of Regional Development and Public Works Andrey Tsekov in connection with the motion submitted by the parliamentary groups of "Vazrazhdane", MECH and "Velicie" vote of no confidence in the government of Rosen Zhelyazkov for failure in the field of foreign policy.

We have not yet become acquainted with the motives of the vote of no confidence. If it is related to the positioning of Bulgaria in the heart of Europe, if it is against the correct position of our country in supporting Ukraine, we cannot support it. If it is based on other proposals, then we will discuss it, said Tsekov.

This is Mr. Peevski's government. The governing majority is enough both to accept a corrupt budget and to save the government from every vote of no confidence. But what really matters is what the grounds for a vote of no confidence are, pointed out the MP from "Continuing Change - Democratic Bulgaria".

The adopted budget takes from the small to give to the "clubs and headphones". The budget sets 7 billion more than the state needs, which it is not known how they will be spent, but we have seen in the past how they sink, Andrey Tsekov emphasized.

According to him, GERB does not want rehabilitation with European funds, but insists that this activity be carried out with funds from the state budget, because control over European money is significantly tighter.

The former regional minister commented that he sees a corruption scheme in the announced public procurement by the "Road Infrastructure Agency" for the construction of a section of the highway between Byala and Veliko Tarnovo.

We recall that the announced public procurement is estimated to be worth nearly 3 billion leva - at 50 million leva per kilometer.

A realistic value for the new section should be 25-26 million leva, not 50 million. leva, i.e. there is a 24 million leva "corruption allowance per kilometer" set aside. This is money that will be spent in a non-transparent manner, Tsekov warned.

We have to start somewhere, such as by having fair competition, without the possibility of corruption schemes. Of course, we also have to have ruthless control, said the MP from "We continue the change - Democratic Bulgaria".
