On Saturday, the child's family sought medical help at the Botevgrad Emergency Medical Care Branch. The girl was then transported by ambulance to “Pirogov“ in Sofia. Despite the resuscitation efforts, the child was pronounced dead, the emergency institute said.
„The child was admitted once and then sent away. The parents left, but as they were leaving, the child deteriorated again with the same symptoms. They returned and told the parents that they would admit him, and that they should wait outside. While they were inside with the child, screams could be heard. At some point, the child's screams stopped. Then the father forcibly opened the door to see what the situation was. What he sees is that the child's body was covered in a mask so that it could be loaded into an ambulance as quickly as possible, and the medical personnel's version is that it died on the way to Sofia," said the lawyer for the deceased child's parents, Ivan Antonov.
