The reason is that tenants produce at high cost, and high costs and low excavation prices make them uncompetitive.
In the last three years, farmers have reported high production costs, and low excavation prices are forcing them to reduce costs.
"The only option we see to optimize costs in some form is a possible slight reduction in rent payments so that we can be competitors in international markets," said Iliya Prodanov, chairman of the National Association of Grain Producers.
