Daniel Valchev: There is no consensus on what labor is worth - 1

“We do not have a consensus in society on what labor is worth. If we had basic ratios, it would be good. But the last governments have shown that whoever waves the most flags gets the most“, said in the studio of “Wake up“ the dean of the Faculty of Law of the Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski“ Prof. Daniel Valchev.

He hopes that the strike actions will not interfere with the matriculation exams, because they are especially important for children and their families.

According to him, every person deserves a better life, but the question is whether society can afford it. It matters where the priority investment is made.

„I doubt that drivers in Sofia are the worst paid drivers in public transport in the entire country. That in itself says something“, said Valchev.““Yes, it is a good idea to introduce a subject on virtues and religion. This is not just an educational issue, but positioning towards the future“, said Valchev.“”

According to him, the reaction against such a proposal is due to the very raising of the topic – it is perceived as scandalous.”

„The question of the educational matrix that educates children should be raised“, he added.“

„Law professors say that the issue of the euro is serious and should not be speculated on. I would like to distinguish the legal from the political side of the issue“, commented Valchev.

He explained that the president has the right to initiate a referendum, and the National Assembly is obliged to consider such a request. However, the parliament is not obliged to comply with the president's request, and the Speaker of the National Assembly cannot reject it unilaterally.

“Since Radev knows that there is a huge majority in the National Assembly that will reject his request - why is he doing it? With this, he increased the degree of tension. He expected there to be turbulence in the ruling coalition, but there was none“, said Valchev.

“He completely disemboweled the BSP. Radev managed to return Kiril Petkov to Borisov and Peevski“, he concluded.
