“From an economic point of view, their demands are not logical“, said banker Levon Hampartzumyan in the studio of “Wake Up”.
In his words, when a manager is faced with the dilemma of whether to raise the salaries of employees who threaten to leave if he doesn't - he lets them leave. But this should have happened before the strike.
“The mayor alone cannot do anything. The boards of the companies that manage transport are the executive power in these companies. And if money is going to be allocated, they have to say where. In this case, it is not the mayor's job, but the company boards', said Hampartzumyan.
“All reasonable people - both left and right - want the euro. The benefits of membership in the eurozone are visible“, he added.
“To want such a raise and such salaries, when you know that there are people who studied for over 10 years to reach a salary of 2,000 leva, is not logical for a person who is obliged to get a driver's license. This is not fair to doctors. But for public transport drivers it is probably fair – and their salaries should be increased, but not only them“, said PR expert Nidal Algaffari.
“Sofian residents are starting to get used to not having public transport, and if the strike continues for another week, they will get used to it“, he pointed out.
“Vasil Terziev does not explain well why he will not give this money. He threw himself into another direction – that it is a political conspiracy. And his task is to explain why he cannot – because of the budget“, Algaffari also commented.
“The president wanted to unite all those who are against the euro, against NATO and the EU“, he added in connection with the referendum requested by the head of state.
