A temporary solution and a patching up of the situation - this is how the Rector of the UNWE, Prof. Dimitar Dimitrov, defined the 15 million leva allocated in state aid for the capital's transport in order for the employees to end their effective strike actions.
"These 15 million leva will be available now, but next year they will have to be sought again. There must be reforms in the transport companies in Sofia and in their way of functioning. And also in their tariff policy for tickets and cards. It is still better to have transport because of the matriculation exams - the future of about 15,000 children depends on it," Dimitrov also said in the studio of "The Day Live" by NOVA NEWS.
Entering the Eurozone
"The benefits of this are more. The common European currency is designed as a way to facilitate economic communication between countries. We become part of one big family, it is not only the lack of need to exchange levs. Investors are looking for stability - when we have the same interpretation of the rules throughout the eurozone, the very image of Bulgaria will be different. The euro is the second strongest currency in the world. By adopting it, discipline will increase, and the ECB will exercise control over our financial system," he commented.
UNWE and its training
"UNWE is introducing a bachelor's program in cryptoeconomics. We are also updating the existing programs. However, sometimes we need to keep up with new technologies - blockchain, artificial intelligence and cryptocurrencies. "The students of the UNWE have almost 100% realization, they are quite pragmatic and organized," the rector believes.
