New repairs have begun on the section where Siyana died. The dangerous bend that took the life of the 12-year-old girl has only new signs and new horizontal markings for now.
For several days, new asphalt has been laid in the section between the village of Telish and the "Humata" railway station.
The pavement will have higher traction, the contractor assured. While the repairs are underway, traffic will not be diverted.
However, cars are required to wait and are allowed to pass periodically.
More serious repairs cannot be made there due to the investigative actions. At a meeting with mayors from the region a week ago, Regional Minister Ivan Ivanov assured that a complete renovation of the section between Telish and Radomirtsi could begin at the end of August.
