If you are one of those parents who wait until the last moment to figure out where to take their children on June 1, this article is for you. Almost all municipalities in our country offer free entertainment for children for International Children's Day, reports dariknews.bg.
Here are a few ideas for Sofia and the regional cities in the country, and this is just a small part of the events throughout the country, which are both free and will fill the hearts with joy
Sofia
As every year, the capital is teeming with suggestions for where to have fun with the little ones. One such example is Kids Expo - a large-scale exhibition for children and families, which is being held for the first time in Bulgaria. The event on the square around the temple-monument "St. Alexander Nevsky" is free to enter and was opened on May 29, continuing until June 1. Four main zones present different aspects of the children's world – from education and culture to sports and entertainment. Visitors have the opportunity to experience the work of state and municipal institutions, including the police, fire department, emergency medical care, the Ministry of Defense, which will demonstrate equipment, equipment and practical skills in an interactive environment.
Another suggestion is to become part of the youth cycling festival Sofia Velo Show. It is organized for the second consecutive year by "Sofia - European Capital of Sport" and "Dolcini Pro Team". The city races will take place on Sunday from 10:00 to 13:00 in the renovated Western Park (the event location is to the right of the Central Entrance of the park from the side of „Slivnitsa“ Blvd. before the „Orion“ stop).
Each participant will be insured free of charge by the organizers, which also requires registration to be made by Friday at 15:00. If you did not succeed, you can be part of the audience to attract the child's attention to cycling. In addition, along with the competitions of the little cyclists, there will be many additional fun competitions with the bikes, professional animators will take care of a good mood with music and quizzes with prizes.
The competitors start on a safe and age-appropriate route. Medals and sports items are provided for the first three prize winners in each of the four groups between 5 and 12 years of age, and each participant will leave with a commemorative certificate and award.
The Sofia Puppet Theater also celebrates International Children's Day. In both theater halls, two performances from the repertoire will be performed, with free admission for children (but not for their companions). In the hall on “Gen. Its participants - children and their parents - have the opportunity to be part of a military mission, to test their speed, orientation and logic, as well as to be promoted to the rank of sergeant. There is also a prize for the successful completion of the mission - The fastest ones who find the exact coordinates of one of the most impressive combat vehicles from the outdoor exhibition will be the first to enter and see it from the inside.
Something that children don't see every day is the Main Directorate of the “Border Police“. On June 1, it announces an Open Day at the Specialized Unit “Aerial Surveillance“ of the directorate. Children and their parents will be able to get acquainted with some of the work of the border police officers.
