"A person, when he moves with political circles, can be filmed with anyone. From the first day, we believe that now is not the time for a vote of no confidence. Bulgaria is quite fragile at the moment", said the MP from "We continue the change-Democratic Bulgaria" Manol Peykov on "Denyat ON AIR".
Today, Kiril Petkov told journalists that Boyko Borisov and Delyan Peevski want to adjust the rules so that Anton Slavchev heads the Anti-Corruption Commission. The leader of "DPS-New Beginning" responded to the accusations of the co-chairman of "We Continue the Change" by showing a photo showing Petkov and Slavchev.
According to Peykov, people are not afraid of the euro, but of the state.
"There are reasons to fear the state, because for years it has been behaving in a way that cannot be relied on. It is immature at the moment to seek a vote of no confidence. We expect to see what the final decision will be, but from "Democratic Bulgaria" we do not support it. We were the only ones negotiating with GERB for a joint cabinet," Peykov commented for Bulgaria ON AIR.
No insight into the candidates for the regulators
According to him, the disappointment among the regulators is enormous.
"There is no space for dialogue for the regulators, there is a preliminary decision on who to vote for. There is no real insight into the qualities of the candidate. The coalition that currently governs us is closed in certain circles of interests, which is not good for the state," the politician pointed out.
A consensus candidate for president is needed
Regarding the presidential elections, given the actions of President Rumen Radev, who is looking for ways to accumulate political dividends, we will move towards new parliamentary ones, Peykov admits.
"For the upcoming presidential elections, we must look for a consensus candidate who will unite. There are interesting options. GERB is increasingly inextricably linked to "New Beginning". In the current geopolitical environment, we need a strong pro-Western majority," the MP explained.
