Radev: Borisov's inflation is as real as his highways - 1

Two weeks were enough for people to be convinced that the state is helpless in the face of unjustified price increases. Today, POLITICO describes the mechanisms by which the cabinet artificially lowers inflation. The referendum is the only way to restore trust in institutions and strengthen statehood. This price increase is very worrying. This was what President Rumen Radev told journalists in Tryavna.

"I expect them to immediately think about what will happen to people in vulnerable social groups if inflation increases. I expect really serious measures in this direction. The war in the Middle East is raising oil prices, and this cannot but have an impact on the budget of every family. Bulgarians should not be miserable," he added.

"Borisov's inflation is as real as his highways. As for what I have done abroad, if anyone owes an account, it is Borisov. For his concluded international treaties. And especially for how he used the government plane like a father to ferry his own team with shipments of dates and chickens. Not to mention 67 flights with the "Cougars" from the Air Force, which sucked up resources for combat training. They flew to party events, to some strange destinations on hunting farms and even stranger passengers on board. As for my visits to Japan, where after decades of intensive cooperation, during my visit we finally signed a strategic partnership agreement with the Prime Minister of Japan. The government is on its way to turn the bilateral agreements into real economic, investment, cultural and educational exchange," Radev also commented.

According to him, there are risks from the situation in the Middle East. "They are being assessed every day at the moment. Our services are working extremely intensively", the president pointed out.

Radev also said that if necessary, he may reconvene the National Security Advisory Council.
