Bulgarian state-owned industrial zones are becoming an increasingly desirable place for entrepreneurs and investors who are looking for a stable environment and modern infrastructure for the development of their business. The latest example of this is the start of the construction of a large-scale logistics base in the village of Gurmazovo, part of Industrial Park Sofia – Bozhurishte. The investment, amounting to nearly 7 million leva, is the work of the Bulgarian company „Imelius“ OOD.
At a special meeting dedicated to the launch of the project, Deputy Minister of Economy and Industry Nevena Lazarova, together with the Executive Director of the National Company „Industrial Zones“ (NKIZ) Angel Tanev and the Manager of „Imelius“ Alexander Golomehov, discussed the importance of the new investment for the region and the economy. The building, which will be built on an area of 7,530 sq. m., will be equipped with innovative energy efficiency systems, optimized logistics and sustainable resource management - all in accordance with the latest European standards.
The project will not only improve the logistics infrastructure in the area, but will also create new jobs, with over 120 positions expected to be created in various sectors. Deputy Minister Lazarova stressed that the Ministry of Economy and Industry, together with the management of the National Industrial Zones, are ready to provide full support to investors throughout all stages of the implementation of their projects.
She emphasized that state industrial zones do not only offer land, but also a comprehensive package of services that significantly facilitate and accelerate the investment process.
„Currently, the National Industrial Zones is conducting active negotiations with companies from the pharmaceutical sector, the production of high-tech products, the food industry and the data storage sector. These projects are expected to bring new jobs and boost economic activity in the region“, shared Lazarova.
Among the key initiatives that will contribute to attracting more investors is the construction of a Regional Center for Digital Solutions and Innovations in Industrial Park Sofia – Bozhurishte. This platform will support business and the public sector in the process of digital transformation, providing access to modern technologies and expert solutions.
Since the beginning of the year, NKIZ has already concluded two contracts for the purchase and sale of properties in the industrial park, as well as one preliminary contract, which is a clear sign of the growing interest in this location. “I express special gratitude to the team of “Imelius“ for their trust and choice to implement this significant project here.
This investment will strengthen logistical connectivity and give a new impetus to industrial development in Sofia region“, said Angel Tanev. With each new investment, state-owned industrial zones strengthen their position as a driver of economic growth and innovation in Bulgaria, becoming a preferred partner for businesses seeking stability, development and prospects.
