"Bulgaria is ruled by a mafia, much more severe than Cosa Nostra. So far, we have not heard the EU asking Cosa Nostra for data on the development of the Italian economy and on this basis making decisions that can greatly affect the people in a given country."

This was stated in an interview with the Bulgarian National Radio by the leader of "Velicie" Ivelin Mihaylov before the party's protest in Brussels, dedicated to Bulgaria's admission to the eurozone.

If the euro is adopted in Bulgaria without the people being ready, this could be devastating for the ordinary person, he pointed out.

The protest was preceded by a motorcade of party sympathizers.

"We went all over Europe with cars that are plastered, in English. 300 cars and vans are plastered. We will have a procession through Brussels, we will go around for 2 hours", specified the chairman of the "Velichy" parliamentary group.

"We have proven 12,000 illegal dumps, there are another 8,000 that we have not registered. Italy has been convicted for 200 landfills, Bulgaria for 12,000, they don't even give us a meeting to explain the situation," stressed Mihaylov.

According to him, the authorities, which have a hierarchy, should take action, but the rulers do not have the capacity to solve this problem.

He declared his readiness to show the media "frauds that are colossal".

"Our main cause is "No" to the mafia in Bulgaria." It is good that Boyko Borisov and Delyan Peevski are out of power. And people like them", commented Ivelin Mihaylov on the show "Predi visi".

"As an entrepreneur, I have never taken state and municipal orders or European funds, so that there are no suspicions of corruption", noted Mihaylov, who believes that "thefts by GERB and MRF are easily proven" and predicts that GERB and MRF "will not rule for long".

"We will make them fall. In places, their people will not be able to steal. We will win back every municipality, and we will not give a chance for abuses to be committed on the spot. We are creating local media in every municipality."

Ivelin Mihaylov also announced planned cooperation with media from Russia and China and argued:

"I cannot say that there is democracy in Europe if there is no respect for the law. If Europe is undemocratic, it cannot say that it is undemocratic elsewhere."

When asked if there is a party they trust and would cooperate with, Mihaylov gave an example of a successful partnership with MECH, because in his words they are correct and keep their commitments. "Velichy" supports protests by "Vazrazhdane", explained the leader of the formation, but added that Kostadin Kostadinov is "part of the government".
