The Ministry of Interior has not received any official information, data or signals about a second animal from the "Cat" family, spotted on the territory of the Shumen Plateau, the Ministry of Interior reported, quoted by bTV.
On June 27, the Regional Directorate of the Interior and Forestry-Shumen informed that over 30 properties were inspected after receiving a signal about a predator being spotted in the Shumen Plateau.
The inspections were carried out by teams of the Regional Directorate of the Interior and Forestry-Shumen together with experts from the Regional Directorate of the Interior and Forestry-Shumen and the Regional Directorate of the Interior and Forestry-Shumen in properties, including in adjacent yards in the area of the plateau. Properties bordering the nature park were inspected, including on the streets "1300 Years of Bulgaria", "Porek", "Vladaysko Vastanie", and "Pop Andrey".
All owners voluntarily allowed inspectors into their properties to inspect for available cages or premises for keeping large predators.
No such cages or premises were found, nor were there any traces of a kept animal. Talks were held with the property owners to obtain information on whether they had noticed a predator in the area.
Cooperation was sought from all those who have security cameras - if they notice the appearance of the large animal, they should immediately report it to the nearest police station.
