After threatening to reach the houses in the local village of Kalenik several times, the fire was brought under control in the late hours, but was under observation throughout the night, Nova TV reported.
The situation near the resort village of Arbanasi remains more serious. The fire has covered nearly 850 acres of land, and the terrain is difficult to access.
"The night was spent intensively in efforts to localize the fire, which is currently a fact. There is no open flame burning, which means that the situation is under control. We continue to patrol the entire perimeter of the fire to make sure that it will not resume. "Helicopters will not be required to be involved in extinguishing the fire," said the director of the Directorate General for Fire Safety and Population Rescue, Chief Commissioner Alexander Dzhartov.
According to him, 16 fire brigade teams and two helicopters were involved in extinguishing the flames. There were also many volunteers who helped put out the fire.
