First meeting of the working group for residents. It will be held at the Ministry of Health. The meeting will be attended by representatives of the Ministry of Health, the Bulgarian Medical Association and the Bulgarian Association of Healthcare Professionals, as well as young doctors from the initiative committee “Future in Bulgaria”. The aim is to consider the possibilities for changes in acquiring a specialty in the healthcare system.
The working group has been assigned to prepare and present a report with proposals and opinions by July 25 to resolve the problems concerning the specializations of young doctors in Bulgaria. The latest insistence of the young doctors is that their remuneration be 150% of the average salary in the country for the last 12 months, as well as an increase in night work pay.
