A fire has broken out in the land of the village of Ilindentsi, Strumyani municipality, BNR reported.
The report was filed at 11:30 p.m. The fire has covered between 50 and 100 acres of dry grass, but there are also many juniper bushes.
Teams with two fire trucks, as well as volunteers from the local unit, have arrived at the scene. Over 50 people are fighting to prevent the fire from spreading to the village of Ploski and the international road E-79, the mayor of the municipality Emil Iliev told BNR. The most serious problem at the moment is the strong wind, which is quickly changing the direction of the fire.
