We will still discuss tomorrow in a bilateral format the topic and details of the vote of no confidence in MECH and then we will decide whether to support it. The potential topics on which we would submit a vote of no confidence are healthcare, income and, accordingly, the financial situation of people and regional development and demography, he recalled. He emphasized that the topic of "Security", which is proposed by MECH, also has the potential for discussion and a vote of no confidence.
On the occasion of yesterday's extraordinary meeting of the Health Commission, he emphasized that the proposal of the ruling party to increase the salaries of young doctors and nurses by 100 euros in real terms is a mockery of them. He explained that the PP-DB proposal was that the basic salary of young doctors should be 150% of the average salary for the country, and of healthcare specialists - 125% of the average.
Pandov is categorical that funds for these salaries can be provided from several sources, including from the increased hospital aid budget, and also through clarity on how the funds are spent in hospitals. Private hospitals to conduct public procurement, which will save resources for the Health Fund.
"And thirdly, since the government's proposal was for the salary increase to enter villages from January 1 and 2026, the budgets of both the Health Fund and the Ministry of Health are currently being prepared. For us, it is completely realistic to include these funds in the budgets."
He recalled that during the administration of Kiril Petkov and Asen Vassilev, when he himself was the head of the cabinet of the Ministry of Health, the growth in doctors' salaries was 81%.
