The leader of the DPS and chairman of the parliamentary group of the DPS – NEW BEGINNING Delyan Peevski sharply criticized the behavior of the coalition “We continue the change – Democratic Bulgaria“, after it unanimously voted “against“ the proposal to close the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC).
“Today the masks fell off! PPDB lied that they wanted the closure of the ACC because it serves them“, Peevski wrote on social networks. According to him, the actions of the PPDB confirm the “hypocrisy and double standards“ of the politicians from the coalition who publicly denounce the commission as a “bat“, but in reality rely on its support.
“To lie publicly, for the leaders of the PPDB is a standard of behavior“, Peevski also emphasized.
The proposal to close the CPC was submitted by the DPS - NEW BEGINNING, as part of a commitment to reforms in the fight against corruption. After it was rejected, Peevski stated that the responsibility for the future actions of the anti-corruption body now lies entirely with those parliamentary groups that have obstructed its legislative restructuring.
“They rejected the possibility of legislatively resolving the issue of the independence and effectiveness of the CPC and the real fight against corruption in Bulgaria“, the DPS leader concluded his position.
