A large fire is burning in the "St. Georgi" area in Sliven. The signal for the incident was received at 12:43 today, the Regional Directorate of "Fire Safety and Population Protection" announced, quoted by BGNES.
The fire has covered a significant area. Five teams of firefighters have been sent to the scene. Volunteers are also actively involved in extinguishing the fire.
All efforts of the teams are focused on localizing the fire and preventing its spread to nearby areas.
At the scene of the incident are the director of the Regional Directorate of Fire Safety and Population Protection – Sliven, Commissioner Dencho Chomakov, and the head of the RSPBZN – Sliven, who coordinate the actions of the teams. The causes of the fire are still being clarified.
