The fire at the municipal waste landfill in Tsalapitsa, which broke out this morning at around 5 a.m., has been extinguished.
Four fire trucks, heavy equipment provided by a private company, as well as two water tankers from the OP "Chistota” continue to be on site.
The fire had covered about 200 square meters. Soil is currently being spread over the terrain.
The measuring stations have not recorded an excess of fine dust particles.
