The Council of Ministers adopted a Decree amending and supplementing the Regulation on the implementation of Art. 7, para. 3 of the Law on the Restoration of Ownership of Nationalized Real Estate.
It is envisaged that from the date of the introduction of the euro as the official currency in the Republic of Bulgaria, the payment of housing compensation notes will be carried out by converting their leva equivalent at the official exchange rate of 1.95583 leva for 1 euro.
With the adopted changes, the current regulations related to the payment to the beneficiaries of the nominal value of the compensation notes they hold are brought into line with European and national legislation on the euro.
