Vаnguаrd Іnternatіоnаl Ѕеmісоnduсtоr Соrrоrаtіоn, which is part of the largest semiconductor manufacturer in the world - ТЅС, together with the Dutch company NХР ІЅеmісоnduсtorѕ, also a chip manufacturer, invests to invest a record 7.8 billion USD in the construction of a plant for the production of 300 mm semiconductor chips.
The produced output will be used to make cars, mobile devices and consumer electronics.
"First Sod" of the new plant will be done in the second half of the current year. The first production is scheduled to reach customers in 2027, and the full capacity of the plant should be reached in 2029.
Vanguard International Corporation's investment share is 60%, and NKR - 40%.
1,500 people will work in the new production base.
This is not the first major investment by foreign investors in Singapore. A few months ago, the Soytes financial company invested EUR 400 million to double the production at the plant in the country. The total area of the Soitis development will reach 45,000 sq.m. It also manufactures 300mm SOI polyconductor plates.
