By decision of the Council of Ministers, the status of a property in the town of Valchedrum is changed from public state ownership of private state property. It is a plot of land with an area of 2400 square meters and two buildings in it. Due to no longer being necessary, its management is taken away from the Regional Directorate for Food Safety in Montana and transferred to the management of the regional governor.
The government changed the status of the land and the building in it from public to private state property and provided them to the Municipality of Pirdop along with three other buildings. The properties are located in the “Dispensary” area, Pirdop and will be used to build a municipal temporary shelter for stray animals on the territory of the municipality, in accordance with its obligations under the Animal Protection Act, as well as for a warehouse for storing municipal technique and materials.
If the activities are not implemented within five years of the acquisition of the properties, the municipality will have to transfer them to the state. There is also a commitment by the district governor of the Sofia region to develop a control mechanism through which to carry out periodic inspections to fulfill the conditions under which the properties are transferred to the ownership of the Pirdop municipality.
