„There will be projects for everyone - small, medium and large companies. It is important for us to restore activities on major infrastructure projects as well. The activities of restarting and construction of new routes of republican road infrastructure, which have been frozen for a long time, have already started, said during the conference "Perspectives, challenges and vision for the development of the construction sector". the Minister of Regional Development and Public Works Eng. Violeta Koritarova.
The minister emphasized that the remediation program should be started as quickly as possible. “My team and I encountered quite a few traps in the ministry. However, I believe you appreciate their being overcome in short order. We are already making up for the delay in Stage 1 of the program, which will allow the contracts with the municipalities for remediation to be concluded by the end of the year, she added.
According to the minister, the negative consequences of the pandemic caused by the coronavirus and the war in Ukraine have largely been overcome. Engineer Koritarova paid special attention to the upcoming implementation of the projects under the National Plan for Recovery and Sustainability, the development of the regions, road maintenance, large infrastructure projects.
The construction industry needs predictability, a clear horizon and a strategy for sustainable development in the coming five, seven, ten years. “Business is interested in what lies ahead in the field of the development of cities and regions, transport, the environment, energy efficiency, competitiveness, the priorities of all the programs to which the branch can apply, as well as what financial instruments it can rely on” , said Eng. Iliyan Terziev, Chairman of the Management Board of KSB.
