The average price of 2-room apartments in Sofia is currently 1500 EUR, and for three-room apartments with about 20 EUR/sq.m. higher, according to the data of the largest real estate site in our country imot.bg.
Almost identical are the data of the Global Property Guide. According to the consulting company, the average price per square meter of living space in our country is around 1,600 EUR, and of the other capitals, only Bucharest has higher prices – 1632 EUR/sq.m. Third place goes to Podgorica with average rates per square meter of 1,763 EUR. The fourth position is for Athens. Due to the high foreign investor interest, the price is 2120 EUR/sq.m
In Madrid, the average value at which deals are concluded is 4,700 EUR/sq.m, and in Berlin – 5000 EUR/sq.m. This is followed by a sharp rise to almost 10,000 EUR/sq.m. in Paris and London, where the average is 9430 EUR and 9540 EUR respectively.
Zurich remains the most expensive city on the Old Continent. Those who decide to buy a home there will have to spend at least 17,285 EUR/sq.m.
The main reason prices are high is that across Europe demand exceeds supply.
