Customs officers found euro banknotes worth nearly BGN 50,000 at the “Kalotina” during the inspection of a truck, the “Customs” Agency reported, dariknews.bg reported.
Undeclared currency was found hidden in the cabin of the vehicle.
On May 2, customs inspectors selected for inspection a truck traveling from France to Turkey via Serbia and Bulgaria. During the inspection, they found undeclared euro banknotes in the dashboard of the tractor, in a white plastic bag. The driver explained that the money was company money.
The undeclared currency with a total value of 24,540 euros was seized. To the driver – Turkish citizen, is a compiled act under the Currency Law.
