This morning, shortly after 7 o'clock, a citizen reported in the police in Smolyan, that in the district “Ustovo” witnessed the abduction of a woman from the street. He told the investigators that a man and a woman hit and dragged the victim into a car and drove off in the direction of the village of Bostina.
A team was immediately formed and investigative actions were taken, the district prosecutor's office in Smolyan was also notified.
As a result of quick police actions, in less than an hour, the perpetrators were found – husband and wife, 46 and 37 years old. They were detained with a police warrant for up to 24 hours. Procedural investigative actions are being carried out, experts are to be appointed.
The work on the formed rapid production continues.
Details of the case were announced at a briefing by the director of the ODMVR – Smolyan senior commissioner Tsvetan Tsankov, the district and deputy administrative head of the district prosecutor's office.
