Six people were detained, 76 people with 60 motor vehicles were checked, said Commissioner Petar Sokolov, head of the “Security Police&rdquo ; at the Regional Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs - Sofia. The information is in connection with today's specialized police operation, primarily against crimes against the political rights of citizens in the Sofia region, BTA reports.
Three were detained in connection with thefts and assaults against citizens, two were found without personal documents, and one person is from the criminal contingent.
The focus of the operation is the municipalities of Kostenets and Dolna Banya. Representatives from the National Revenue Agency (NRA), the regional forest inspection and the food safety agency are participating in the action. Private addresses and commercial establishments are checked, gambling halls and pawn shops will be checked. There are checkpoints at the entrances and exits of both municipalities.
Commissioner Sokolov also announced that two acts and one receipt have been drawn up so far.
