The Sofia City Court is expected to decide whether to issue a European arrest warrant for Stoyan Mavrodiev, NOVA reported.
The former executive director of the Bulgarian Development Bank is being investigated for a 150 million loan. BGN of companies owned by or associated with businessman Rumen Gaitanski, known as Valka.
In this case, Ivan Georgiev, who is a representative of the company that embezzled the money, is also brought in as a defendant. At the moment, he is free on bail of BGN 50,000.
Rumen Gaitanski was also released from custody for 250,000. BGN Stoyan Mavrodiev has been missing since the beginning of the investigation in August this year.
