They are accused of acts of hooliganism, carried out with extreme audacity and cynicism.
According to the prosecutor's office, the youths spat from the ledge on the third floor of a shopping center and attacked a man, slapping and punching him. The reason - a remark made. Since they are minors, the maximum period of detention is two months.
The scandalous act of violence provoked a series of public debates about the gangs of teenagers who run amok in shopping centres.
The police provided more patrols and checks. Some of the malls doubled security. The introduction of panic buttons is also being considered.
Among other measures being discussed are tougher financial penalties for parents and more rights for security firms.
