Customs officers confiscated a large amount of counterfeit textile products, perfumes, watches and stimulants during two inspections in the area of the "Danube Bridge" border crossing near Ruse, the customs office announced. In the first case, a minibus traveling from Turkey to Germany was stopped for inspection. The customs officers found 2,667 pieces of textile products, 63 perfumes, 4,048 sachets of sexual stimulants, 200 rings, 71 sets of watches and other goods in the cargo hold, bearing the inscriptions and graphic images of registered trademarks, BTA reported.
A case has been opened against the driver of the minibus.
In the second case, a bus traveling from Turkey to Romania was stopped for inspection. It was found that a passenger with Turkish citizenship was carrying 77 perfumes, 40 pairs of women's underwear and 120 pairs of rubber soles in his luggage. He did not present the necessary documents, and the goods were detained. The passenger was issued a violation report.
About ten days ago, at the “Lesovo” customs checkpoint, customs officers detained 76,500 bottles of perfumes with protected trademark designations. The goods were traveling from Turkey to Poland.
