The Sofia Court of Appeal decides whether to permanently keep Lachezar Stavrev in custody. He is the last person detained in the so-called "Customs" affair.
According to the prosecutor's office, it was he who ordered the former head of the agency, Petya Bankova, who to appoint to the structure.
According to witness testimony, Stavrev behaved as the deputy director of the agency. Stavrev himself stated to the magistrates that he has a clean criminal record and has never had any illegal contacts.
