A 23-year-old mother received a final sentence of 20 years in prison for the attempted intentional murder of her 3-month-old son. The case is from the village of Skravena on November 24, 2020. The woman was talking to the father of her children on the phone when the two argued. The baby's crying further angered her. She first injured him with her nails on the cheek. Then she picked him up and hit him hard on the headboard of a metal bed. She continued to strike the child's entire body, including the head.
The witnesses to the incident - the mother and sister of the convicted woman - tried to stop her. They immediately called 112. The arriving medical team diagnosed a severe head injury. The child was transported to the Pirogov University Hospital, where he underwent emergency surgery.
