The people of Plovdiv and guests of the city stood up and applauded one of the most recognizable voices of the Balkans - Goran Bregovic, at a concert in Plovdiv last night, BTA reported.
Before Bregović took the stage, the audience had the opportunity to hear the musicians from the band “Balkanji”. The group is characterized by an unusual sound that combines traditional Bulgarian folk music and heavy metal elements. This is what the musicians presented to the people of Plovdiv this evening.
The climax of the evening came when Goran Bregović appeared on stage. The famous musician and composer from Bosnia and Herzegovina and his orchestra gathered a large audience in the space of the International Fair, who sang and danced along with them for nearly two hours. Attendees heard some of their most popular hits such as Mesecina, Kalashnikov and Beauty Sonata.
After the concert, Bregovic bowed and greeted the Bulgarian audience with the words "It was a pleasure to play for you".
Just a few days ago, the venue of the event was changed and instead of the "Hristo Botev" stadium, the concert "The best of Goran Bregovic" was held on the territory of the International Fair. The reason given by the organizers is to preserve the grass surface of the stadium, adds BTA.
