Prince Harry's wife, Meghan Markle, has returned to acting eight years after quitting, The Sun reported, citing sources.
According to the newspaper, the Duchess of Sussex was spotted filming the film “Close Personal Friends“ in Pasadena, California, on November 5. The film also stars Brie Larson, Lily Collins, Jack Quaid and Henry Golding. The Amazon MGM Studios production tells the story of two couples.
“This is an important moment for Meghan, symbolizing her return to what she really loves. She has been inundated with offers“, a source from the film studio told the newspaper. “Prince Harry, of course, supports her and just wants her to do what she likes.“
Markle gained worldwide fame thanks to the series “Suits“ (2011-2019), the films “Remember Me“ (2010) and “Horrible Bosses“ (2011). She retired from acting in 2017, shortly before her wedding to Prince Harry.
In January 2020, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex decided to step down as senior members of the British royal family. They lost the ability to officially represent the monarchy on trips, perform other ceremonial duties and use the title Their Highnesses. The couple moved to the United States and bought a home in Santa Barbara, California, where they are raising their son Archie and daughter Lilibet Diana.
