Lonvi Biosciences, a Chinese startup specializing in longevity medicine, is developing pills to extend life to 120 years, writes the American newspaper The New York Times.
“The company believes that its pills, combined with a healthy lifestyle and quality medical care, can help people live from 100 to 120 years“, the article says.
“Grape seeds have long been popular as a health food in the West and in traditional Chinese medicine“, the newspaper reports.
According to the newspaper, Lonvi Biosciences claims that grape seeds secrete special molecules that kill aging cells, but do not die or damage healthy cells. The company claims to have found a way to produce capsules with a high concentration of these molecules.
In January, the South China Morning Post reported that maintaining a healthy diet, eating three meals a day and being optimistic were the “secrets to longevity“ of a Chinese woman who celebrated her 124th birthday.
