An Open Day at the Bulgarian National Bank will be held today, they report from the central bank on its website, NOVA reported.
Free access for citizens to the central building of the institution will be available from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
The day of the open doors this year will pass under the sign of the 145th anniversary of the foundation of the BNB. Visitors will have the opportunity to see the meeting hall of the Management Board, where some of the most important decisions in the country's financial and banking history were made, the gallery with oil portraits of the governors, the governor's office, the museum collection of the BNB, the client operations lounge , as well as receive a souvenir banknote with their face depicted on it.
A special highlight this year is the exhibition arranged in the money salon dedicated to 145 years since the foundation of the BNB, its history over the years and its buildings. Bank employees will be available to groups of visitors, who will accompany them and introduce them to the main functions and tasks of the institution.
BNB is one of the oldest national institutions in our country. It was established on January 25, 1879, with the approval of its charter by the Russian Imperial Commissioner in Bulgaria, Prince Alexander Dondukov-Korsakov.
