28-year-old Egese Kulambano from Busia County suspected his 34-year-old wife Caroline Muzaki of cheating. According to him, since August 2023, Muzaki had been dating a 17-year-old student. “I assumed that my wife was having an affair with this boy and even when I warned her, she could not stop it,“, Culambano told the court.
According to Culambano, he assumed that his wife would make an appointment with her lover in his absence.
„I pretended not to be at home and waited until nightfall,” explained Culambano. The man caught and brought the student to the police station and charged him with trespassing.
However, after establishing that the offender was under 18 years of age, the law enforcement authorities decided to open a case against the woman, not against the student. A charge of soliciting a minor has been brought against her.
It was decided that the woman will be left in custody until the end of June. After the verdict was announced, she pleaded not guilty.
