The German city of Gelsenkirchen will be called Swiftkirchen during the tour of the singer Taylor Swift, who will perform there on July 18, 18 and 19, reported novini.bg.
The special signs with inscriptions showing the new temporary name of the city have already been installed.
Trams have been launched named after the star, who will also get his own commemorative plaque on the city's Walk of Fame. The renaming was proposed by the student Aleshani Westhov from the city of Emmerich, who wrote a petition. The local authority liked the idea.
