The hat worn by actor Harrison Ford in the second part of the film series about Indiana Jones, was sold at an auction for 630,000 dollars (1,155,996 BGN), writes the BBC, NOVA reported.

At the same time, other movie memorabilia were sold, including props from the productions "Star Wars", "Harry Potter" and "James Bond". Indiana Jones, an archaeologist adventurer, is seen wearing the hat at the beginning of the film when he and his companions jump from a crashing plane into an inflatable raft.

During the scene, he is on board the plane with nightclub singer Wilhelmina "Willie" Scott, played by Kate Capshaw, and his 12-year-old friend Short Round, played by Ke Hui Quan, as they escape from the clutches of a Chinese crime gang.

After the flight is sabotaged by the pilot, the trio use a raft to fall from the plane, then descend a mountainside. The auction house claims the hat was also used during additional shots at producer George Lucas' visual effects facilities.

The fedora was also worn by Ford's stuntman in the 1984 film, Dean Ferrandini, and was sold alongside previously unpublished photographs of the stuntman wearing the now iconic costume. Ferrandini died last year. The hat is from his personal collection.

The hat is an updated version of the original one shown in the first Indiana Jones movie - "Raiders of the Lost Ark" - with "more pointed" crown than in the first film, reported the auction house Propstore.
