"I am proud of my son. He carries the Bulgarian tricolor around the world with his achievements in the field of artificial intelligence! "Because of children like Raphael, our flag is flying in all corners of the world," Cornelia Ninova said to "Retro", quoted by burgas24.bg .

The former red leader has always been secretive when it comes to her personal life, but the recent achievements of her only son Rafael filled the mother's soul with pride and she couldn't resist bragging.

"My son is 32 years old, recently graduated, and has already taught at the most prestigious universities in the world. With his father, we managed to create a worthy, young and promising man who, in addition to his intellect, can also boast of a good heart“, Ninova said.

When asked if Rafi has a girlfriend and if Ninova wants to become a grandmother, she laughed and said:

"It is still too early for me to become a grandmother, and my son is currently fully devoted to scientific activity“.

The mathematical genius Raphael glorified the family even as a student, because he has no equal in mathematics Olympiads in our country and in the world. Before leaving for the USA, he graduated from the Sofia Mathematical High School and was the captain of the national mathematics team. He has 17 medals from Balkan, European and World Olympiads. His first major international success was when he came second in the Mathematics Olympiad in Amsterdam, where he competed with over 600 talents from 100 countries. He repeated his achievement in 2012 at the Olympics in Argentina.

Rafael Ninov graduated in 2016 as a bachelor in financial engineering from the famous university "Berkeley” in the United States, from which he obtained a doctorate in finance. He finances his education with the money from scholarships and prize funds.

"Berkeley” is considered the best public university in the world. It has produced 71 Nobel Prize laureates, the most of any university in the world. After graduation, Rafi worked at the famous bank "Goldman Sachs" as a financial analyst. But then he decided to continue with science and became a teacher at Stanford University. in the State of California.

Raphael devoted himself to financial engineering, which enabled him to create mathematical formulas to predict the development of financial and economic processes.

Rafael Ninov has already established himself as an outstanding specialist in the field of mathematics and artificial intelligence. According to Ninova, Rafi has demonstrated his skills on prestigious international stages such as Oxford University, where he has lectured to students and academics, and just a few weeks ago he visited Vienna where he lectured on artificial intelligence technologies. With these commitments, the young Bulgarian not only broadens the horizons of the students, but also shares the Bulgarian experience in the field of technology with a wide international audience.

Ninova also emphasized that her son has not forgotten his roots and when he has the opportunity, he returns to Bulgaria to support and encourage the development of Bulgarian scientists and young talents. He was a guest lecturer at the Bulgarian Institute for Computer Sciences "Insite", where he shared his knowledge and experience with local researchers. According to Ninova, such efforts are essential for the development of the Bulgarian science and technology sector.

"Rafi's achievements show the world that Bulgaria has significant talents in the field of mathematics and technology. "He not only glorifies the name of our country, but also works actively for its future, helping young Bulgarians to develop and contribute to global progress," Cornelia Ninova said.

The former red leader noted that this is an example of modern youth, which combines traditional Bulgarian values with the latest world trends in science and technology.

His grandmother Dafina, who is Cornelia's mother-in-law, is also proud of Rafael. Not long ago, Dafina told "Retro" that although in far away America, Rafael calls her on a video link and does not forget about her.

"My grandson Rafael comes to see me, but very rarely, he lives in America. More often we hear each other on the phone on a video call, but these are modern times," Dafina told "Retro".
