In India, a group of monkeys attacked a man who tried to attack a 6-year-old a girl, writes Times of India, quoted by NOVA.
The incident took place in the city of Baghpat, Uttar Pradesh state. An unknown person approached a child on the street and threatened him to leave with him. The man took the girl into an abandoned building, stripped him and tried to have sex with him. At that moment, however, several monkeys attacked the man. He abandoned the victim and ran away.
The girl came home in shock and told her parents about what happened. They immediately contacted the police. “Our daughter was playing in the street and the criminal kidnapped her. Surveillance cameras captured him leading her down a narrow street. He has yet to be identified. He threatened her with violence. It would no longer exist if the monkeys had not intervened,” said the child's father.
Police have confirmed that they are investigating and are currently trying to identify the perpetrator.
