An Englishman has admitted he regrets having had a large number of sexual partners, writes the Daily Mirror.
31-year-old Benny James from London claims he has slept with more than a thousand women over the past ten years. He usually met them on social media and in clubs, where he went at least four times a week.
James later realised he was looking for numerous relationships because he was subconsciously afraid of being alone. He developed anxiety and depression, which sometimes made it difficult for him to leave the house. To get rid of the constant feeling of anxiety and increase his self-esteem, he started using drugs and alcohol.
"Friends and family thought I was a funny person. They thought I was partying and having fun. But in reality it was affecting me, although I didn't realize it until I hit rock bottom. It just keeps piling up and piling up. And when you want to step back and live a normal life, it's hard to do that," admits Benny James.
The situation became especially difficult during the COVID-19 pandemic, when he was forced to spend a lot of time alone. That's when he decided to change his lifestyle and not abuse alcohol.
James now lives with a regular partner and is involved in mental health activism. He launched the "End the Wait" campaign, which calls on governments to invest in the treatment of mental disorders.
