The media is once again reporting on new “houses of horrors” for elderly sick people. They ask what's the matter, there were inspections and legal changes and the problem was solved. It's solved, another time!
It won't be solved while well-dressed ladies tell us that the bad is unlicensed, and the good is social care and it's getting better.
This was commented on "Facebook" by the leader of "Blue Bulgaria" Petar Moskov.
Once again:
1. The problem is for SICK elderly people. They need MEDICAL care. Not from another renovated social home where they can sleep and eat.
2. These people are accommodated in various orphanages because there is nowhere else.
3. Such medical care can be provided by medical professionals - doctors, nurses and rehabilitators.
4. There are such specialists in hospitals and NOT in social homes.
5. The entire network of municipal hospitals is almost empty.
6. These hospitals cannot provide this service because they have been denied funding for this and are subject to unenforceable regulatory requirements.
7. So, opposite the municipal hospital in your city, something called a social service appears and offers to accommodate sick elderly people there.
8. Relatives pay crazy money for this and get a house of horrors.
9. When someone complains, the “surprised” state sends an inspection and fines, licenses, imprisons and arrests something.
10. People placed there remain on the streets or find the next house of horror for them.
If we want results, this vicious circle must be broken!
TEN months ago, Blue Bulgaria submitted a package of regulatory changes to the parliament to solve this problem.
We held meetings with municipal hospitals in most areas and received full support from them for this. We held meetings with the management of the National Health Insurance Fund and they also agreed with the decisions.
Behind the dozens of pages of analyses and measures lies a simple decision - to create conditions for municipal hospitals and to provide funding so that they can provide long-term treatment and follow-up care. What sick elderly people need.
The result:
- NO result at all!
During these ten months, the deputies were busy with much more important things, such as swearing in an expressive way and asking us to elect politicians based on who came up with a more vicious curse word against the other.
The municipal councilors from Blue Bulgaria in the SOS submitted specific proposals for solving the problem in Sofia. (Especially hard, because of the many people living here).
The result:
- NO result at all!
The Sofia government is fighting the mafia and such “nonsense”, as the fate of sick elderly people and the nightmare of their loved ones cannot distract them from this fierce battle.
Well, all these parties and politicians explain to you that they are the alternative to the other.
That's a lie!
By electing them, you get the same thing, but made by other people.
If you find it smart, you can continue to elect them. If you don't want any more of this lie, Blue Bulgaria is THE ALTERNATIVE.
Not because we swear better, but because we offer different solutions and a different kind of governance.
