PPDB would ask the president to postpone handing over the second study mandate - sit down so you don't fall down! - by two whole months. So that they could adopt some laws and appoint their party ladies in the regulators.
This is gross and unconstitutional partisan arbitrariness. The only constitutional basis for extending the consultations with the President within a reasonable period is the achievement of the purpose of the procedure under Art. 99 of the Constitution, namely - formation of a regular government. The request - we will not form a government, but wait until we pass laws and appointments, is unconstitutional and borders on an attempt at a parliamentary coup.
If there is no chance and/or will to form a government with the second mandate, the president is obliged to move the procedure to the next stage. The request for a two-month delay in order to achieve other goals, and not to form a government, is not a reasonable, but an insane deadline.
You have made enough attempts on the Constitution and the rule of law in the last four years!
I call on President Radev to categorically reject these voluntarist demands of the PPDB. Moreover, this is a formation that received a definite vote of no confidence from the Bulgarian citizens in the last elections and was delegitimized to participate in the administration and determine the legislation within the framework of the 50th National Assembly.
Do not be unconstitutional.
