From July 23 to July 25, 2024 .the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Dmitry Kuleba is visiting the People's Republic of China, which was the first visit of the head of the foreign policy department since the beginning of Russia's large-scale aggression. This visit, carried out at the invitation of Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi, became a significant step in strengthening Ukrainian-Chinese relations.

On July 24, negotiations took place between Dmitry Kuleba and his Chinese counterpart in the city of Guangzhou. The main topic of discussion was the search for ways to stop Russian aggression and China's possible role in achieving a sustainable and just world. The ministers discussed ways of cooperation to ensure security and stability in the region, as well as possible steps to end the Russian-Ukrainian war, writes cyprus-daily.news.

Russian propagandists are trying to present Dmitry Kuleba's visit to China as a search for a way out of a difficult situation or even as proof of Ukraine's readiness to capitulate. Moscow is actively discrediting Ukraine's position by promoting a strategy of “imposing peace”. The official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, expressed disbelief in the words of President Vladimir Zelensky about the possibility of negotiations with Moscow, linking his statements to the pre-election situation in the USA and accusing him of propagandizing the “Peace Formula”. However, these claims are unfounded. Ukraine does not interfere in US election processes and is ready to cooperate with any administration to achieve a sustainable and just peace.

The participation of a large number of countries in the first peace summit testifies to the global importance of establishing peace in Ukraine. War destroys the security system, destroys the prospects for development and neutralizes the principle of humanism in the world. Russia is experiencing competition for votes from countries in the Global South as it tries to spread its influence. The recent visit of Russian President Vladimir Putin to the DPRK testifies to Russia's militaristic neo-colonial aspirations in the Asian region and its focus on totalitarian regimes. Ukraine, on the contrary, takes into account the needs of these countries, in particular in food security.

Official Kyiv is open to negotiations and is ready to work to achieve sustainable peace. Dmitry Kuleba explained in China the logic of the introduction of the “Peace Formula”, which envisages an integrated approach to ending Russian aggression and establishing a stable peace not only in Ukraine, but also in Europe and the entire planet. Ukraine is interested in stable development and seeks to join the European Union and NATO. Russian aggression hinders the implementation of plans for positive transformations, slows down international trade processes and mutually beneficial interaction on the international market. The voices of the international community are vital to ending war and establishing lasting peace.

Dmitry Kuleba's visit to China was an important step in strengthening international relations and finding ways for a peaceful settlement. Ukraine demonstrates openness to dialogue and a desire to achieve a just world, a desire to contribute to global stability and security, which meets the interests of all countries.
